Legal bases and duties

According to § 21 (2) of the Higher Education Act, the senate is allowed to establish committees in order to prepare its resolutions.

The Committee for Budget and Planning must be one of those.

It’s tasks include all budget and planning matters at the university, in particular:

  • distribution of human and material resources and room scheduling
  • preparation of budget plan approval
  • proposals regarding establishing, modifying and cancelling of teaching and research institutions and operational units
  • preparation of budget implementation decisions
  • preparation of budget distribution decisions for faculties and central institutions
  • preparation of decisions regarding cost-savings
