Convention
The faculty’s convention usually meets on the first Wednesday of a month (not in August) in room C03-1.17 (Sokratesplatz 2).
The meetings are open to all members of the university.
The faculty’s convention consists of the following members

11 Professors
4 Scientific employees
4 Students
2 Non-scientific employees
1 Equal Opportunities Officer (without voting right)
The work of the faculty convention is supported by committees that prepare resolutions. According to § 29 of the Higher Education Act (HSG), the convention of a faculty has tasks in consulting and decision of all matters of the faculty, if not declared otherwise in the HSG or the constitution. According to § 30 HSG (1), the Dean manages the faculty, prepares the resolutions of the faculty’s convention and carries them out. He/She decides on the usage of human and material resources allocated to the faculty and on the engagement of scientific, artistic or other staff at the faculty and informs the convention about it.
