Curriculum

Duration

Four semesters (2 years) full-time.

Structure

The "Master of Science in Information Technology" course will operate under a student workload model based on 60 credit points (ECTS) for a full-time academic year. To qualify for the award the student must complete, or have been granted exemption for, the subjects listed below.

During the four semesters of the master's program the students are taken through a highly structured curriculum:

Course Subjects


Semester 1
Required: Scientific Studies (Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten)
Four modules (includes the option of one additional module of 5.0 credit points) have to be selected for a full semester load, corresponding to a total workload of 30 credit points.

Semester 2
Four modules have to be selected for a full semester load, corresponding to a total workload of 30 credit points.

Semester 3
Part 1:

Required Master Project, workload 15 credit points
Part 2:
Two modules have to be selected, corresponding to a total workload of 15 credit points.

Semester 4
Final Project (Master Thesis):

The final project should be done in collaboration with an industry firm or a research lab and has to be completed in not more than six months.
