Numerous interesting research projects are carried out at Kiel University of Applied Sciences every year. These are mostly financed through public funding, through firms or through various public bodies.
The fund of knowledge to be found amongst the academics in the six faculties forms the basis for the transfer of knowledge between university and industry; companies benefit from research developments within the university, and teaching becomes more practical when it is directly related to authentic situations in industry.
