Darwin’s Orchids - The power of evolution

Evolution rarely illustrated aesthetically: Charles Darwin’s manuscripts fold themselves into the research vessel “HMS Beagle” around the audience. The beauty of the orchid flowers fills the dome and the audience experiences the artful forms and the botanic manoeuvres used by the orchids to disseminate their genetic code. It is not surprising at all that these plants are experts in accessing certain habitats. And not surprisingly, this production won four international design awards.
