LINAVO - "Open Universities in Schleswig-Holstein: Lernen Im Netz, Aufstieg Vor Ort (Learning in the Network – Advancement On Site)" is a joint project from four state universities in Schleswig-Holstein.
The common goal of the Universities of Applied Sciences of Kiel, Lübeck and Westküste (Heide) and the University of Flensburg is the sustainable promotion of expanding courses on professional and lifelong university education.
To do so, the universities developed new online study modules and programmes at their facilities within the LINAVO project.
These new online courses are especially for those people who already have professional experience. One of the goals of LINAVO is to sustainably increase the number of study beginners from this group.
The emerging online courses enable professionals to prepare their career advancement alongside their regular work. Employers can use the new online courses to train their staff while they remain at the company.
On 31st March 2015, the joint universities completed the first phase of the project successfully. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research approved more funds for a second project phase.
LINAVO is one of 26 nationwide individual or joint projects that have been able to convince due to their concepts on facilitating high-quality training within the Federal and Länder competition ‘Advancement through Education – Open Universities’.
This is why the LINAVO project received funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the European Social Fund in the first phase. The current second project phase is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
