The project ‘More Study Quality Through Synergies – teaching development for universities and universities of applied sciences’ is a joint project of the UAS Kiel, the University of Applied Sciences Flensburg and the University of Flensburg and aims to improve teaching and teaching qualifications as well as study quality and study programme development.
The main goal of the UAS Kiel is to strengthen the competence orientation of study programmes under special consideration of diversity perspectives and a heterogeneous student body.
The project is funded as part of the Federal-Länder Programme for better study conditions and more quality in teaching (‘Quality Pact Teaching’). After the first funding phase ended in 2016, successful elements were refined and carried on to the second phase.
The project at the Kiel location includes measures in the following topics:
- University didactics training and consultation for lecturers, including offers for blended-learning scenarios in teaching
- Seminars about time- and self-management, learning strategies and techniques and scientific writing for students
- Study programme and module development e.g. in the introductory phase based on data from time budget workload analyses, data from lecture evaluations and credit quote analyses
- Methodical-didactic training from student tutors
