Anti-Discrimination Act (AGG) directive enters into force

With the signature of Prof. Dr. Udo Beer, president of the UAS Kiel, on the 29th May 2019 the directive for the prevention of disadvantages, discrimination, sexual harassment and violence came into force.

With this regulation the UAS Kiel has closed a loophole in the law and ensures legal certainty in cases of assaults against university members, relatives, guests and other people on campus.

Moreover, the equal opportunities office works on practical guidance which provides low-threshold access to information on topics related to disadvantage, discrimination, sexual harassment and violence.

The equal opportunities office not only wants to provide information but also aims to sensitise these issues. For this purpose, it organises regular events based on the topic of self-determination, e.g. during the interdisciplinary weeks.

If you have any questions or ideas, please contact the equal opportunities office team.
