Application for the Master’s degree in Digital Business Management

The requirement for a study place in the master’s degree is a completed first university degree in an economic or a thematically related study degree. As part of this basic study, economic competencies (at least 120 credit points), computer sciences competencies (at least 10 credit points) and statistic knowledge (at least 10 credit points) must have been obtained. If the first study degree includes less than 210 credit points but at least 180 credit points, the missing credit points must be made up to obtain an overall scope of 300 points. The faculty determines special guidelines to achieve the required level, which currently are:

  1. an initial scientific paper that analyses the digitalisation as a challenge for management (10 ECTS),
  2. a presentation of results produced in the scientific paper (see No.1.) (5 ECTS),
  3. further mandatory or elective modules from other study degrees (in total 15 ECTS).

To participate successfully in English speaking courses, applicants must be capable of proving that they have sufficient knowledge of the English language.

The standard study period until graduation in the master’s degree is three semesters. The study can be started in the summer or winter semester. Deadline for applications is the 15th January and the 15th July for the following semester. Valid is the date of receipt of application by the UAS Kiel.
