Cultural diversity and international experience shape and enrich study, teaching, research and cultural life at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. They enable worldwide exchange and help to find answers to important questions regarding the future. Internationalisation is thus closely linked to the guiding principles and vision of Kiel University of Applied Sciences and its social mission. It plays a key role in terms of university development and campus culture.

Interest and curiosity are fundamental components of the knowledge society and often form the basis for intercultural and cross-border cooperation. Internationalisation is not an end in itself, but offers new perspectives and approaches. Worldwide networks, intercultural competencies and an open-minded, cosmopolitan attitude open up career prospects, promote prosperity and enable social participation.

The internationalisation strategy serves as a general guideline. As such, it identifies common interests and focal points of internationalisation with the aim of promoting and developing them further.
