Evaluation and Quality Management

The Vice-President for International Affairs reports regularly to the Senate on the implementation of the internationalisation strategy. The faculties supplement and spell out the general strategic goals in more concrete terms. Besides subject-specific features and the future professional environment, particular focus is placed on the special interests of their students, teachers and researchers. Measures of the internationalisation strategy are part of the structural and development planning of Kiel University of Applied Sciences and the agreements on objectives that the faculties and the ZSIK enter into with the Executive Board. These agreements set a positive, transparent and university-wide uniform incentive system. Foreign representatives, lecturers and researchers can be relieved of teaching obligations within the framework of the available hourly quotas of the faculties if they are involved in the area of internationalisation beyond the regular scope of their duties.

The faculties and the ZSIK report to the Advisory Council for International Affairs on foreign and internationalisation activities and to the Executive Board on their internationalisation activities and future strategic objectives in compliance with the agreement on objectives they need to meet. Surveys serve as a tool to review individual measures and university partnerships, thus providing important information for future activities. Such surveys are carried out at regular intervals by the faculties and the central institutions. The results are made available to all Advisory Council members. Individual reports (e.g. the obligatory Erasmus reports) are forwarded to the departmental International Affairs Officer or can be viewed online.
