  • Representation of the university in accordance with the Higher Education Law
  • Head of the department i.S. MBG Schleswig-Holstein with the participation of K
  • University policy issues and university development planning
  • Target agreements with the state government and the departments / central institutions (conclusion / control)
  • Definition of the business areas in the Presidium, if no legal regulation is given
  • Chairing the Presidium and preparation of its resolutions
  • Coordination of the work of the members of the Presidium
  • Supervision of the implementation of the decisions of the Presidium
  • Fundamental questions of the structure and process organisation
  • Creation of principles for the use of personnel and material resources allocated to the entire university with the participation of K
  • Personnel structure and rights and obligations of the university members, unless K
  • Capacity issues, admission restrictions according to KapVO
  • Personnel matters for professors with the participation of K
  • Appointment negotiations of professors with the participation of K
  • Promotion of the student body and student associations according to § 3 (5) HSG
  • Statute law if not VPI or K
  • Liaison with graduates
  • Approval of study and examination regulations
  • Awarding of university degrees and honours
  • Coordination of the work of the bodies, the departments, and the central institutions of the university
  • Chair of the Central Budget and Planning Committee
  • Exercise of domiciliary rights if not transferred to K or Dean's Offices
  • Responsibility for the gender equality policy guidelines
  • Agreements with other universities
  • Centre for IT services with the participation of K including Centre for Online Teaching (support group)
  • University Council
  • Foundation matters, corporate assets
  • Representatives of the university as shareholder in participating companies
  • Public relations with participation of K, VPD, VPA, VPI
  • Coordination of the elections to the university bodies
  • Teaching commitments and reductions, research semesters
  • Business Foundation Centre
  • Representative for the central facility: Institute for Continuing Education
