How do I charge my mensa card?
In the mensa building (building 15) there is a machine where you can top up your mensa card with either cash or EC bank card (no credit cards). The machine is located on the right side right after entering through the revolving door.

If your class got cancelled, it is likely that your professor posted about it on «Aktuelles». Check «Aktuelles» every morning to stay up to date on the latest schedule changes. www.fh-kiel.de/index.php
Where can I find my professor’s lecture material?
Depends on your professor! Listen closely to what he announces in the 1st session. Chances are good that you will find the material either on "T-Laufwerk" or Moodle i.e. Elearning (https://lms.fh-kiel.de) or analog in the Campus Copy Shop located in the Schwentinesrasse 26 on campus.
Where can I learn German?
Language classes are held every semester in the Language Center. To sign up for a class, contact the ZSIK www.fh-kiel.de/index.php
Where can I register for classes?
In general through qis.fh-kiel.de. But some lecturers prefer it through a special online registration, via email and showing up to the first session in the current semester.

Where can I get a bus card?
As a student you are eligible to travel with public transport for free within Kiel. Simply show your student ID when entering public transport.
Where can I go shopping?
The two main shopping streets in Kiel are the Holstenstrasse close to the Förde and mainstation and the more alternative shopping street called Holtenauerstrasse. If you do not find what you need in Kiel, you can take a train to Hamburg and go shopping around the Mönckebergstrasse.
