For characterization, thermal treatment, shape programming and surface finish of Shape Memory Alloys based on NiTi we provide the following services:

  • Mechanical properties (loading and unloading), plateau force plateau stress as a function of  temperature(0 to 180 °C ). Wires, bars, metal sheet and strips can be characterized using an appropriate testing system with load gages of 10, 100, 500 and 1000 N.
  • Identifikation of the transition temperatures ( Ms , Mf , Rs, Rf, As, Af  ) using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in the temperature range of -80 °C to 600 °C
  • Microstructure investigations, chemical composition, roughness testing
  • Assessment of the biocompatibility of NiTi alloyings and other materials, which can be carried out in different cell cultures
  • Corrosion testing in vitro
  • Development of customized parts and apparatuses
