Recommendations

Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen,

When visiting the Media Dome with a kindergarten or school class, we particularly recommend our live programs:

  • Sun, moon and stars (5 to 8 years)
  • Starry sky and planets (from 8 years)
  • Infinite expanses (from 10 years)

These events can often be modified at short notice and individually to suit the age and ability level of your learning group. (We are less happy when we have several groups from different institutions in the dome at the same time. We therefore recommend that schools combine classes so that you can decide on the composition of the children yourself).

Of course, you can also choose other topics from our extensive program of events. Further recommendations can be found here.

A word about the "roller coaster" theme. Many children are familiar with our program and wish for a "roller coaster ride" as an encore. This may detract from the atmosphere and aesthetics that we try to create in our events. On the other hand, the request is often so insistent that we are reluctant to answer with a "no". Please decide for yourself. Here is another recommendation: let us show you the "Möbius strip". This creates a rollercoaster effect with a technical "background".

Our tip for math and computer science teachers: combine "Chaos and Order" with a visit to the Computer Museum.

For a number of events, we offer handouts with background information for preparation or follow-up.

We hope your students have a lasting experience with us and that you all enjoy your visit to our museum.
