Process Management

Institute for Supply Chain and Operations Management

Field of Competence: Process Management and Process Optimisation including Lean Management

Understanding

Companies aim to design processes to add value.  Efficiency, flexibility and robustness against disturbances must be considered. Lean management means in particular the conscious avoidance of any waste and the definition of standards. In supply chain and operations management, existing processes are continuously questioned and improved with a view at the value added orientation – a task which always reveals the potential for optimisation in practice.
