Christian Mertens is a director of documentaries, TV and cinema advertisements and music videos. His film "Wiedling" was nominated for the "Studio Hamburg-Nachwuchspreis" and the "First Steps Award". His short movie "Die andere Seite" and the music video "Baukran" for Niels Frevert each won the Schleswig-Holstein Film Award. Grimme Prize nomination in 2019 for "Draußen in meinem Kopf" (dramaturgical advice/consultation).
