The "Mas­ter of Sci­ence in In­for­ma­ti­on En­gi­nee­ring" cour­se will ope­ra­te under a stu­dent workload model based on 60 credit points (ECTS) for a full-time aca­de­mic year. To qua­li­fy for the award the stu­dent must com­ple­te, or have been gran­ted ex­emp­ti­on for, the sub­jects listed below.

Du­ring the four se­mes­ters of the mas­ter's pro­gram the stu­dents are taken through a high­ly struc­tu­red cur­ri­cu­lum:

Se­mes­ter 1 & 2
Six mo­du­les have to be selec­ted each se­mes­ter for a full load, cor­re­spon­ding to a total workload of 30 credit points. 2 mo­du­les are com­pul­so­ry mo­du­les and 4 are spe­cia­li­sa­ti­on mo­du­les.

Se­mes­ter 3
Part 1:

Re­qui­red Mas­ter Re­se­arch Pro­ject, workload 15 credit points
Part 2:
Three (ad­di­tio­nal) mo­du­les have to be selec­ted, cor­re­spon­ding to a total workload of 15 credit points.

Se­mes­ter 4
Final Pro­ject (Mas­ter The­sis):

The final The­sis can be car­ri­ed out in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with an in­dus­try firm or a re­se­arch lab and has to be com­ple­ted in not more than six months.
