Financial funding

International students are welcome to contact the staff at the International Office for advice on funding options.

BAföG (Federal Training Assistance Act)
The Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG) provides financial support during your studies if you meet certain eligibility criteria. It is a government-funded program that offers a combination of a grant and an interest-free loan. Make sure to inform yourself early about your eligibility and the application deadlines. For further information, please contact the Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein.

Scholarships
Scholarships are forms of financial support that are awarded independently of income and do not require repayment. They are granted based on various criteria such as academic performance, social engagement, or background. Take advantage of the wide range of scholarship opportunities available to students, which can help you finance your studies. The Central Student Advisory Service offers individual consultation appointments.

Deutschlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship)
The Deutschlandstipendium supports high-achieving and committed students with a monthly grant of 300 euros, funded equally by the federal government and private sponsors. It provides financial assistance and may also open up valuable networking opportunities for your personal and professional development. All students at Kiel University of Applied Sciences will be informed via email in advance about the next application period.
