Enrolment – Information for new students

A cordial welcome to the Fachhochschule Kiel (UAS Kiel)!

Here you will find information regarding the procedure of enrolment at the UAS Kiel. Furthermore, you can also find initial information regarding your faculty, the so-called FRESHERS’ INFO.


Enrolment Procedure and Documents

After you have successfully applied to Kiel University of Applied Sciences and secured one of the coveted study places, you will receive a notification of admission or an invitation to enrol in the "Casy" application portal. This will ask you to complete the "online enrolment" in "Casy" within a certain period of time and to submit the required documents to Kiel University of Applied Sciences.

After having carefully filled in all the fields and answered all the questions in the online enrolment form in "Casy", you can upload the documents required for enrolment.

Here you can view a list containing all the documents that must be submitted. Please note that not all of the above documents may be required in certain cases.

Please note:
If the online enrolment is not completed within the period specified in the notification of admission/in the invitation to enrol, or if the documents are incomplete or incorrect, the notification of admission/invitation to enrol becomes invalid. You will not be enrolled and your entitlement to a place at the university will be forfeited.

In your own interest, we therefore ask you to complete the online enrolment and upload the documents as soon as possible. This will make further processing easier for us and ensure that you can start your studies in an orderly manner.

If your enrolment documents are incomplete, the Student Secretariat will contact you, provided the enrolment period has not yet expired.

If your documents are complete and you have been able to enrol, you will receive your personal access data for the Electronic Services for Students at Kiel University of Applied Sciences and your Student ID card about 2 weeks later as confirmation. Please note that these access data and the Student ID will only be valid from the beginning of the semester.

Information for First Semester Students (Freshers)

Here you can find important first-semester information from your future faculty (e.g. semester opening dates, maths pre-course). In addition, the student representative bodies of the respective faculties/departments regularly offer special attractions (e.g. first semester trips to get to know each other).

Cancellation after Enrolment Date

Enrolment can be cancelled up to 3 weeks after the enrolment date. A written cancellation request and, if already handed out, the chip card and your personal access data must be sent by post to the Student Secretariat.

A reimbursement of the enrolment fee after enrolment is not possible!

The cancellation form can be found in the study service in "Casy".
