Techniques of the Digital Factory (Elective subject for Bachelor’s MB, SB)
How do I build and manage a modern production? Which meanings do keywords such as PDM, MES, MDE and BDE have? What is meant by digital factory and what does production 4.0 mean? If you are interested in these questions and production technology as a complex system is not discouraging for you, you should absolutely visit the lecture “Techniken der Digitalen Fabrik”.
As an example, we will build a complete factory for the production of components. You will learn about construction, concepts and simulation technologies.

Lecture series Industry 4.0
How do I manage a modern production? What is meant by production 4.0? How will we produce in the future and what does that mean for product data (PDM) and lifecycle management? What is meant by agile production, human-robot collaborations, human machine interface, real-time field bus systems, autonomous agents, embedded systems, network security and information security, modern development tools for embedded systems or manufacturing execution systems? If you are interested in these questions and electrical engineering, computer science and production technology as complex systems are not discouraging you, you should absolutely visit the lecture series “Industrie 4.0”.
It is the first joint lecture of the faculties of Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering, Business Management and Mechanical Engineering. Lectures are held by the professors Fischer, Weber, Wree, Finkemeyer, Böhnke, Krauss, Immel and Strauß.

Organisation of complex systems for the master’s in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture

As an example, we will build a complete factory for the production of components. You will learn about concepts such as just-in-time, SMED, 5S and Poka Yoke.

Management Tools II "Corporate Governance" (Elective module for Bachelor’s MB, SB, OAT)
What are modern management processes? How does a corporate strategy emerge? How do I lead and motivate employees while also developing them and myself? Why are some companies more successful and popular than others?
If you are interested in these questions outside of the classic technical education and you want to want to learn basics of HR management for a future leading position, you should absolutely visit the lecture “Managementtools II, Unternehmensführung”.
