SmartPowerConversion

Project title

SmartPowerConversion - Power electronics, batteries and digitalization for smart electrification upscaling

Icon Sustainable energy

Brief description

Intelligent energy conversion solutions to manage the increasing amount of electrical energy from renewable energy sources are important for the electrification of energy systems. Electrification is a megatrend and at the same time a key element in the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. To increase energy efficiency - also in the course of the energy transition - its expansion is essential. The industry in the German-Danish border region has a strong international market position. This is precisely where the SmartPowerConversion project provides a framework for further networking and coordinating current development trends in the field of power electronics and intelligent power conversion. The aim is to create cross-border synergies in order to build up new knowledge and innovation capacities in the field of intelligent power conversion. The focus here is on innovative solutions with ultra-high energy efficiency and intelligent control systems. These are aimed at electrification within established and emerging value chains of motor control systems for electric drives, electromobility, Power-to-X (PtX) and energy storage.
