All information about my lectures is available at the beginning of each semester in LMS of the UAS Kiel (https://lms.fh-kiel.de/login/index.php) within the registration period. The access code will beis announced in the first lecture and is also available in LMS in the description of the separate seminars.
The registration periods for the lectures in LMS are announced in the description of the courses.
Information about the Colloquium
As second examiner, all topics of general business management are relevant for my examination part in colloquia. I don’t limit my questions to separate lectures or topics beforehand.
In my colloquia, the goal is not to examine detailed specialist knowledge, but I want students to show me that they can argue economically and that they understand the connections between methods and procedures.
Generally speaking, most of the questions I ask during colloquia have naturally something to do with my field of work (business simulation, controlling, accounting, investment, financing).
Information about the practical study semesters that I supervise
The students that I supervise need to inform me regularly about the progress of their practical study semester via email. I am also offering to visit the company if you have specific questions or problems. Within the seminar about the practical semester each student must prepare a 20-minute presentation about his/her company and the field of work and its characteristics. The practical semester that I supervise is completed successfully when I get receive a report which is similar in form and length to a term paper and is reflectsing the study semester critically. In general, the following aspects should be discussed in your internship report:
- Presentation of the company (organisational structure, products etc.)
- Presentation of the field of work during the internship
- Processed problems and solutions
