In her function as inclusion appointee, Dagmar Scheffler represents the employer when it comes to matters of severely disabled persons and ensures that the UAS Kiel meets its statutory responsibilities towards disabled persons. It includes, inter alia, the fulfilment of the compulsory employment quota regarding disabled and disadvantaged persons and the identification of capacities of job positions for disabled persons. Furthermore, the working environment should preferably be adapted to the needs of these employees. In short, she facilitates inclusion of disabled people into working life. She closely cooperates with the internal council of employees with disabilities and the employee council and functions externally as a contact person and employer representative for authorities, especially for the integration office and the employment agency.
