This module is for all bachelor’s students (Business Management and Business Information Systems) who want to learn more about the topics purchasing, procurement, logistics and supply chain management. Each semester there is a different focus. Interested students are therefore asked to look at the notices at my bulletin board and to consider news on the homepage at the end of the semester, to learn about the new topic and some rules.

In the last semesters, we have, for example, worked on the following focus areas:

    • Price and cost analysis in purchasing – contribution to cost optimisation
    • Inventory management
    • Process optimisation in the spare parts business (project seminar with a company)
    • Controlling in purchasing and logistics
    • Fresh food logistics in Schleswig-Holstein (project seminar with a company)
    • C-part-Management
    • Integration of suppliers in the value chain of shipbuilding
    • Electromobility and city logistics
    • Performance measurement and success design in procurement
    • Introduction of Supply Chain Management (project seminar with a company)
    • Internationalisation in procurement
    • Risk management in purchase and logistics
    • Positioning of purchasing through benchmarking
    • Obsolescence management
    • Optimisation of the supply chain in shipbuilding
    • Optimisation of procurement processes
    • Indicator systems as an instrument for a sustainable development of purchasing organisation
    • Material group strategies and negotiation in purchasing
    • eProcurement
    • Value-oriented purchasing as driver for value management?
    • Digitisation of purchasing
